Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support for campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and provides critical resources for the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is a day for everyone – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University – to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU.
Your Gift Supports
Western Oregon University has a proud tradition of outstanding athletic achievement across multiple men’s and women’s sports. Wolves Athletes compete in 12 men’s and women’s sports, and Wolves Athletics also includes the Cheerleading and Dance teams. The Wolves Athletics program recruits heavily throughout Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, enabling athletes to stay close to home while competing at a high level. All Wolves athletic teams are members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Wolves Football program competes with other GNAC football schools as affiliate members of the Lone Star Conference.
Wolves athletes are true student-athletes, and many of them excel even more in the classroom than they do on the field, with an average GPA of 3.09 on the men’s teams and 3.44 on the women’s teams. Moreover, Wolves Athletes have a high graduation rate, and many take the lessons they learned on the field, on the court, and on the pitch with them into the boardroom as they become business and civic leaders in their communities.
A gift to the Wolves Athletics Fund benefits all athletic programs and allows the Athletics Department to put funds where they are most needed. Funds raised on Giving Day will help to provide scholarships to Wolves student-athletes, fund team travel, and purchase needed equipment. Your gift will help Wolves Athletics reach new heights and enable Wolves student-athletes to continue to excel on the field and in the classroom.
