#HOWLFROMYOURHEART THIS GIVING DAY

Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support for campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and provides critical resources for the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff.

Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is a day for everyone – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University – to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU.

Why Donate?

The Multicultural Student Services and Programs (MSSP) office works with underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation students, offering programs and support to help students achieve their academic goals and complete their degrees. Among its many programs, MSSP offers advising services and engages in community building activities to ensure that students from diverse backgrounds feel welcome and included on campus. In addition, the MSSP is a one-stop-shop for students, a place they know they can turn to with questions about everything from housing to course scheduling to financial aid.

MSSP also includes the following programs and resources:

  • The Diversity Scholars Program provides academic and personal support to students who have been recognized for their academic excellence and their commitment to diversity.

  • The On-Track program offers historically underrepresented and underserved college students a support program that will assist in ensuring academic and personal success, as well as provide opportunities for social development.

  • Multicultural Representatives work to help historically underrepresented & underserved students stay on track to graduate.

  • The Multicultural Student Union exists to promote diversity and cultural awareness throughout the Western Oregon University campus and the surrounding community.

Help us raise our Giving Day Goal of $2,500! Funds will be used to help our community building efforts and ensure that underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation students know that there is a place for them at Western Oregon University.
