#HOWLFROMTHISHEART THIS GIVING DAY
Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support for campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and provides critical resources for the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is a day for everyone – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University – to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU.

The Monmouth Student Nurses Association(MSNA) is a student-led group dedicated to improving the lives of individuals pursuing nursing education at OHSU Monmouth. We are here to bridge the gap between our surrounding communities, individual cohorts, and faculty. Our primary goal is to aid in the enhancement and development of the whole person behind our identities as student nurses. Some ways we do this include:
Professional development opportunities to students and resources for obtaining certificates (such as mental health first aid; currently working on ACLS)!
Hosting social events to connect our three cohorts (sophomores, juniors, and seniors)!
Connection-building through bonding opportunities.
Volunteer work, usually in the form of canned food drives or assisting at soup kitchens.
Additionally, we are always looking for additional ways to increase volunteer activity, particularly with the houseless.
MSNA offers professional development opportunities to students and resources for obtaining certificates (such as mental health first aid; currently working on ACLS). MSNA hosts social events to connect its three cohorts (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) since they don’t typically interact due to differing class times. MSNA tries to encourage connection-building through bonding opportunities. MSNA also does volunteer work, usually in the form of canned food drives or helping at soup kitchens, but we are interested in organizing more volunteer opportunities, particularly with the houseless.
MSNA is interested in branching out into the WOU community, such as through increased collaboration with pre-med and the pre-nursing program, as well as connecting with alumni, other nursing campuses, and communities in the Monmouth area.
