Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support for campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and provides critical resources for the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is a day for everyone – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University – to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU.
Support the Wolves Men's Soccer Program
Wolves Men’s Soccer had their third season this year, and finished it off with a first for the program: being nationally ranked 23rd in the final NCAA DII rankings. This was a season of firsts for the Wolves, finishing with the most wins in the program’s history thus far with 14-5-1 record, its first GNAC title, NCAA appearance, and NCAA postseason win. The Wolves had a sweep of the GNAC awards as well, with coach Michael Behonick being named GNAC Coach of the Year, senior Andre Schlaefli named Defensive Player of the Year, junior Caleb Kiner named Newcomer of the Year, and freshman Marcus Vasquez named Freshman of the Year. Four Wolves were named to the All-GNAC First Team, including Schlaefli and Kiner, while another four were named All-GNAC Honorable Mention, including Vasquez.
In addition to their success on the field, Wolves Men’s Soccer players are stars in the classroom as well. The Men’s Soccer team has an overall GPA of 3.11, which is the second highest GPA in all of men’s athletics at WOU. In addition, many of the players are the first in their family to attend college.
Help Wolves Men’s Soccer raise our goal of $5,000 this year! Funds will go towards student-athlete scholarships, equipment, and road trips. The future is bright for Men’s Soccer and your gift helps sustain and strengthen the program, providing funding for current and future Wolves Men’s Soccer players.
