Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support for campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and provides critical resources for the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff.
Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is a day for everyone – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University – to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU.
Your Gift Supports
As part of its ongoing commitment to serve students and provide a welcoming environment for members of the university community, the Wayne and Lynn Hamersly Library is raising money to provide more comfortable and cozy learning spaces throughout the library. Through the purchase of ergonomic furniture that is made for all body types, Hamersly library will be better able to meet the needs of all university community members.
In addition, Hamersly Library has a large selection of children’s literature, which is available to community members and the children of students, staff, and faculty. As part of the expansion of cozy space in the library, Hamersly Library will purchase child-friendly furniture, so that children can discover the joy of reading in comfort while their parents are at the library.
Help us meet our goal of $8,000 to transform Hamersly Library into a more inclusive, inviting, and accessible learning space, ensuring that all students, staff, faculty, and community members, and their children, are comfortable within its walls.
The Hamersly Library is an important gathering place and campus resource for students, faculty, and community members. With a collection of tens of thousands of books, journals, and electronic resources, Hamersly Library is the beating heart of research and scholarship at WOU.
