Giving Day is an opportunity for all members of the Western Oregon University community to provide support to campus programs, funds, scholarships, organizations, and clubs. Each donation makes a difference and provides needed resources to the university, enabling deeper and more meaningful campus experiences for countless current and future students, faculty, and staff. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, is a day for alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of Western Oregon University to #HowlfromtheHeart and build a brighter present and future for WOU!
Support the Fund for WOU (Greatest Need)
The Fund for WOU was established to further the mission of the university to create “lasting opportunities for student success through transformative education and personalized support.” The fund enables generous donors to provide unrestricted financial support to the university, enabling the WOU Foundation to place money and resources where they are most needed and to respond quickly to campus needs as they arise. The Fund for WOU aids the university community by providing support in three key areas: First, the Fund for WOU is used to offset operating costs of the university, which helps to keep tuition among the most affordable in the state of Oregon. Second, the Fund for WOU supports ongoing activities across campus, including helping to underwrite many student organizations and clubs, ensuring a bright and vibrant campus life at Western Oregon University. Third, the Fund for WOU provides resources for the maintenance of campus facilities, so that students, faculty, and staff are able to learn and work in safe, comfortable, and well-appointed classrooms, laboratories, and offices. Your gift to the Fund for WOU contributes to lower student tuition, an enriching campus experience for students, and an efficient and beautiful campus. In addition, your gift allows the university to respond quickly to emerging needs across campus.
